The 7 Habits

Synergy

In this picture, you see a group of people holding hands surrounding a light bulb. This shows that on our own, we would each have our own little ideas (light bulbs), but if we work together and combine all our ideas then we get one big and even better idea (giant light bulb)

How Do You Synergize?

If you can think win-win, then synergy would be made simple. You would not say that your way was the better and you would keep an open minded opinion so as to try and fit everyone’s idea into one. In order to do this, you must first seek to understand the proposal made by others. Once you have understood their plans, you can now propose your plans in the hopes that they too would understand yours. After that, you can now synergize!

In this picture, two dogs help one another in an attempt to get the burgers on the counter.

What is Synergy?

Synergy is when two or more people work together to achieve a common goal. When you synergize, then you are open minded and find new and better ways to solving/doing a task. This does not mean to comprise. Synergy is NOT compromise. Synergy is more complicated than compromise. Synergy says “we’ll combine your idea with my idea and make something way better than our individual ideas.”

Example of Synergy

Take the picture of the two dogs for

example. Even though both dogs are

different, they both have a common

goal and that is to get to the burgers.

The first dog is too short to reach the

burgers, and the second one is too lazy

to get up, and so, they work together

to devise the perfect plan.

Another example of synergize is the

teamwork put into making this website.  While working together, we combined our ideas and asked for help and ideas from each other, and made sure that each of us was doing something.
